SAG - AFTRA - AEA Bio & Resume Video Audio Photos The Latest Contact
COLIN THOMSON is a versatile union actor and singer, ready to bring his unique brand of humor, humanity and/or musicality to your project (should you have one, and really, you should),

as he has for countless theater audiences in the western U.S. for over twenty years, as well as film and television audiences along the way.

He discovered theater early, performed in school plays and musicals, and went on to study theater and music at the University of the Pacific. After a professional internship with PCPA Theaterfest, he began his career as a Bay Area actor, and has made his living as a performer ever since.

Colin's first film role came back in his pre-union days on Michael Ferris Gibson's indie sci-fi thriller, Numb. He has been a proud member of Actors' Equity Association ever since his first contract with American Conservatory Theater, which was followed shortly by his first Screen Actors Guild job as a body double and stand-in for Robin Williams on Disney's Flubber.

Since then, Colin has racked up a long resume of plays, musicals, TV commercials, radio commercials and industrial films.

He's worked with nearly every professional theater in the Bay Area, as well as theater companies in Idaho and Oregon. Recent stage triumphs include the role of Jim Haller in All Shook Up, Center Rep's highest grossing show to date, lauded among the Best Musicals of 2009 by TalkinBroadway.com. Colin then played Ivan Curry in Conor McPherson's The Seafarer with San Jose Stage, where Karen D'Souza of The Mercury News raved,

"Colin Thomson shows off exquisite comic timing..." The Seafarer appeared on Best of Theater 2009 lists at StarkInsider.com and MercuryNews.com.

Colin is probably best known for his chilling turn as the disgruntled workplace gunman, known only as "The Shooter," on NBC's primetime series Trauma. The climactic scene still appears as a highlight clip titled "Face-to-Face" at hulu.com. The entire Trauma performance can be viewed at this site's Video page. His most recent film

appearance was in a indie short film, based on characters from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, called die Mekaniks.

Colin's theatrical and commercial agents in San Francisco can be found at JE Talent. His commercial agency in Los Angeles is O'Neill Talent Group. He is seeking theatrical and voiceover representation in Los Angeles.
